Fokker S.IX emergency landing at Knokke airfield (Belgium) during March 1940
Hi,
During March 1940 (possibly on 8 March 1940) a Fokker S.IX of the Flying School of Vlissingen (= Flushing, Dutch Air Force) make an emergency landing at Knokke airfield (Belgium) when the pilot encountered dense during a training flight. The pilot and plane returned later to Vlissingen airfield. Can the date of 8 March be confirmed ? Was the serial of the plane 31 ? Which was the name of the pilot ? Many thanks and stay safe Luc |
