I know he was with the 39th BG and after the war he invited his crew to watch a show (

C. D. Buchinski AKA Charles Bronson was a nose gunner in the 39BG's Weather Observation Sqn., Capt. Ken Trow's crew in "Old Overcast" (still looking for serial), they flew a mission every 3 days and Trow said only 5 completed by the end. They only arrived on Guam in July.
