code L-UV on a typhoon
Hi All,
Anyone heard of a code L-UV on a typhoon, tried a few internet searches but no luck. Codes are on a ww2 drawing, but on the other aircraft drawings I have seen, the codes are 'real codes' but I can't trace anything on L-UV. cheers Jerry |

Re: code L-UV on a typhoon
Hi Jerry. No known 'UV' codes on Typhoons. Nor any known 'LUV' personal code (which with a 'U' in it seems a bit unlikely).
Possibly a misinterpretation of 'OV' (197 Sqn) or 'UW' (3TEU, later 55 OTU). Is there a serial on the drawing? Settled in? Chris |

Thanks for the comments, you might be right with the 'OV' it sounds possible. Sadly no serial visible. Yes we are settling quite well, fingers crossed it keeps going well, I now have the boxes with all my notes/books/etc, but just can't get into them ... yet.. Cheers Jerry |
