Ofhr. Werner Rudolf Haugk was shot down and killed, during a training flight in a Bf 109G-6 Weisse 141, from 1/JG 102 at the 18. october 1944 near Aalborg. He was a flightinstructor in JG 102. His brother was Gruppenkdr. of I/JG 102 at this time.

Re: Werner Haugk

He was destined to go to RVT, but his brother attempted to keep him as an instructor. That was wise, as he had some signs of combat strain. Not to avail as he was bounced by Poles on a free hunt mission, to become the only German dead casualty of the day.
By the way, does anyone have any good and publisheable photo of Werner and perhaps of aircraft of JG102? I am lacking those for my article on this combat.
