According to the photographs the Swiss Bf 109s were delivered without weapons in RLM 70/71 Luftwaffe camouflage and with an empty MG17 engine cover and little difference between the two green tones like on many Luftwaffe 109Es.
When Swiss MG 29s were installed fom August ´39 onwards the engine covers were re-designed and a single Swiss green camo (KW2) similar to the German colours was applied on the fuselage nose. When new Swiss markings had to be applied in spring ´40 KW2 was used for all upper surfaces. Regards Roland
