Definitely yes, Graham.
There are several photos in Hoch´s book where RLM 70/71 is clearly identifyable.
But already with the installation of the Swiss fuselage MGs the engine cover had to be repainted with KW2. 70/71 disappeared in January 1940 when the fuselage markings had to be changed, both for the D and E variants.

True, later on overhauls they get on top single top coat.

There was a little misunderstanding during postwar restoration and color used for repainting is too bright.
