The information in the loss/damage tables in my 'Sting of the Luftwaffe' came from two primary sources:
1. Namentliche Verlustmeldungen for ZG 1, of which I had a complete set; and
2. Quartermaster's Returns, which microfilm rolls I studied at the IWM.

I would not have entered into the book that Uffz. Heinrich Lang had been rescued and returned to his unit unless one of the above mentioned sources said so.

There is a photo of Lang's Beobachter, Gefr. Hubert Licht, on page 117 of 'Sting of the Luftwaffe'.
