Re: WWII Losses of Italian Savoia-Marchettis in Greece

I found only this:
20 dec.1940 SM79 shot down over Kolonia or Golem.
No news about SM73 in Greek theatre.

Re: WWII Losses of Italian Savoia-Marchettis in Greece

Hello to all,
A SM79III (bis) of the gruppo Buscaglia/Faggioni has been found by the professional diver Noulis Spourlakos and recently explored by a team of Greek amateur divers. The wreck lies at 60 meters off the island of Poros almost intact in crystal clear waters. Thans to Italian aviation enthousiast and researcher Ferdinando D'Amico the plane's identity is already known with great probability but the research is still in progress

Thanks for the credit. I only tried to be of help for my new Greek friends, considering that this is the first find of a submerged ANR aircraft...
