MAW3-F-4 loss on April 20,1943
I have a question on the loss of a F-4 on April 20,1943 and wondered if anyone could shed some light on this loss.
In MAW3, there is a loss listing for a F-4 reported missing on April 20,1943. The pilot name is missing.(Page 516) Over the years I've tried to create an EXCEL data base with a listing for every MTO Recon loss I could identify. Obviously, the earlier years are a problem before the on-set of common MACRs. Looking through this list I don't have anything for April 20,1943 but I do have a listing for April 25,1943 for a 2nd Lt. James Watson Hatch Jr., O-732244, 5th PRS,3rd PG who was reportedly killed by AA on April 25,1943. There is no listing for a PR Lightning on April 25,1943.? Could this be the loss on April 20?
