Hello,
as far as I know, the Swiss Me 109 Es were equipped with Swiss machine guns above the engine (instead of German MG 17s like the Luftwaffe Es). This would explain the differences in looks. There is a Swiss book on the Me 109 in Swiss service, which I have but could not find at the moment, so I cannot give you more details right now. Regards, klemchen
